Ingredients for making mashed hot dogs:

4 hot dog buns or French buns

 4 hot dog sausages

 4 medium potatoes

½ cup of milk (120 milliliters)

 1 can of corn

 1 can of peas

 1 packet of straw potatoes

 ketchup to taste

 mustard to taste

 Black pepper

 salt

How to make a hot dog with puree:

To make this homemade hot dog start by preparing the hot dog mashed potato, which is the most time-consuming step. Peel the potatoes, cut into pieces and cook for 15-20 minutes in a pan with water until covered and a little salt.

At the end of this time the potatoes should be soft and crumbling. Drain the water, add the milk and mash it well with a fork, mixer or other instrument of your choice. Season to taste with salt and pepper and set aside.

Tip: For a softer mashed potato, turn the heat back on and keep stirring for 5-10 minutes.

Then boil the sausages in a pan of water for about 5 minutes to eliminate excess coloring. Dry the sausages and lightly fry them in a lightly oiled frying pan or grill until golden.

Tip: Boiling sausages is an optional step, however it improves their flavor and consistency.

Open the hot dog buns in half and, if desired, lightly brown them in a skillet or grill as well. Place the sausage inside the bread, add drained corn and peas to taste and cover with 2-3 tablespoons of mashed potato.

Add the condiments (ketchup and mustard) according to your preference and the potato chips as well. Serve your hot dog with mashed potatoes then with a hot dog vinaigrette. Enjoy your food!
